Antonina Shevchenko

Antonina Shevchenko is a Kyrgyzstani and Peruvian Muay Thai MMA fighter as well as a mixed martial artist who is currently fighting with the Flyweight Division of UFC. She is the younger sister of the former UFC Flyweight champ as well as the fellow UFC fighter Valentina. Antonina Shevchenko is an experienced Muay Thai Kickboxer began her career in fight sport at her first IFMA World Championship Tournament. Antonina Schevchenko set her professional MMA records in 2002, when she faced Anara Bazanova in the KFK Cup of Kyrgystan. She took the win via a second round TKO after which she won 2 additional fights at WXF X-Impact World Championships to achieve a record of 3-0. Shevchenko had a brief time off from MMA and devoted her time to boxing. Shevchenko made her comeback in 2017 against Anissa Diddaoui. Shevchenko defeated Anissa Haddaoui by the unanimous verdict. She then beat Valerie Domergue, at Phoenix FC 4, by a unanimous decision. She quit the promotion and started Dana White's Contender Series 2018. Shevchenko took on Jaimelene Nievera in Dana White's Tuesday Night Contender Series 11, Antonina used superior striking in order to TKO Nievera by knees to her body during the final clinch. Antonina took the UFC deal following her win. Antonina was able to make her UFC debut at the TUF Heavy Hhitters Finale, in a fight against Ji Yeon Kim. Shevchenko fell to Roxanne modafferi by split decision after she won her first bout. Antonina bounced back from losing to defeat Lucie Pudilova with a back-naked choke submission during the second round of UFC on ESPN Covington Vs. Lawler. She earned the extra fight of the night in this fight. Shevchenko won her first three bouts, but lost her next three fights to Katlyn Cahookagian, Andrea Lee and Ariane Lipski.
