Avery Sunshine combines R&B, jazz and soul in the style that is his own. The singer's career has taken her from Broadway to European festivals and clubs up to the Democratic National Convention. Her real name is Denise White. Her birthplace is Chester Pennsylvania, where she started her musical career by singing and playing the piano in church. In Atlanta, she attended Spellman College where her musical education began in Atlanta's R&B Scene.
